Pre-eclampsia, characterized by slow or sudden onset of high blood pressure in particular and blurry visions, impaired liver functions and other health crisis on occasions, is one of the leading causes of maternal mortality and morbidity in the world.

Owing to the risks posed by high blood pressure in gestating women which can not only affect her but also the unborn child, consistent prenatal care at clinics can allow doctors to detect the preeclampsia early. For this reason, we stress on ensuring that their BPs are checked every time they are at a doctor’s appointment. If a woman is diagnosed with an elevated BP, she would come under close monitoring, given information on controlled intake of salt, and other particulars to maintain a healthy pregnancy.
